I don't think I've ever known how to rush through life. I've always been one who notices what many others hurry past.

The way golden light catches in a child's eyes.  A parent's hand instinctively reaching for their little one's.  The quiet glance between two people that says everything without a single word.  The sacred seconds we so often rush through, never realizing they're quietly becoming the memories we'll one day treasure most.  I've always believed beauty is most often found in the places we're too busy to notice.

For years, I thought my dream was to become a photographer.  But the truth is, photography was never the dream.  My heart had always been chasing something much bigger.  It was searching for a way to hold onto the beautiful, ordinary moments that quietly become the story of a life.  Maybe that's why photography felt like home long before I understood why.

Photography has been part of my story for more than fifteen years. But for the longest time, I kept it tucked quietly into the background—a side thing, a creative outlet, a "maybe"... a "someday."  Something I cherished but didn't dare fully chase.  I told myself there would always be more time.  Someday I'd take the leap.  Someday I'd believe I was good enough.  But, as it has a tendency to do, life comes along and changes us when we least expect it.

A few years ago, someone came into my life who helped me see myself differently. He believed in me with a steadiness I'd never experienced before. He saw value where I saw shortcomings, possibility where I saw doubt, and because he believed in me so wholeheartedly, I slowly began believing in myself too.  Then, on a cold winter morning, I lost him unexpectedly.  His absence changed my life forever.

Somewhere in the midst of that loss, I began to look at time differently.

I realized I wasn't discovering anything new.  I was finally understanding something that had always been part of me.  Photography didn't teach me to notice those moments, it simply gave me a way to preserve the ones I'd been noticing all along.

The moments we treasure most are rarely the ones we recognize while we're living them.  They're tucked quietly inside everyday life—in the laugh that fills the kitchen, the bedtime story you didn't realize you'd someday miss reading, and the way your child reaches for your hand before they're too big to.  We rush through those moments because we believe there will always be another.  Until one day, there isn't.  And suddenly, an ordinary moment becomes a treasured memory.

That realization became the foundation of Sacred Seconds Photography.  That's when I stopped waiting for someday and finally stepped into the dream I'd carried quietly in my heart for so many years.

Sacred Seconds Photography wasn't born from tragedy.  It was born from gratitude—for every single ordinary day we get to live, for the people we love, and for the beautiful truth that the smallest moments often become the biggest parts of our lives.  I've learned that life isn't measured by the milestones.  It's measured by the sacred seconds in between.

That gratitude follows me into every session.  I'm no longer chasing perfect photographs.  I'm chasing the feeling behind them.  The laugh you didn't plan.

The tear you didn't expect.  The quiet moments between the poses—the ones that quietly become the story of a life.

Because beautiful photographs are wonderful.  But photographs that transport you back to a feeling... those are priceless.

I've never met someone whose story wasn't worth hearing.  And I believe every single person has a story worth remembering well.  Not because every life is perfect.  But because every life is meaningful.  Every child has a laugh that changes over time.  Every family has a rhythm that's uniquely theirs.  Every season leaves its mark.

That's why I do what I do.

But my story is more than just why I photograph the way I do.  So let me introduce you to the girl behind the lens.

I'm Alicia.

A mother to four incredible boys who own every piece of my heart.

A daughter.

A sister.

An aunt.

A friend.

I'm the kind of person who still pulls over for sunsets and wakes before dawn hoping to catch a glimpse of the sun beginning to rise.  Still endlessly captivated by the beauty tucked inside ordinary moments.

I'm based in Northeast Ohio, but I'd be honored to help tell your story wherever it unfolds.

Because whether this season feels ordinary or extraordinary... It deserves to be remembered.

If you've ever wished time would slow down... If you've ever looked at someone you love and silently hoped you could hold onto this season just a little longer... If you've ever wanted more than beautiful pictures—if you've wanted to remember exactly how this chapter of your life felt...

Welcome to Sacred Seconds!

Because one day these photographs won't simply remind you of what life looked like.  They'll remind you of what it felt like.  They'll become proof of a beautiful life, deeply loved, and fully lived.

And to me...

There's nothing more sacred than that.
